Special Trains To Sabarimala Via Nizamabad

South Central Railway announced special trains services to Kollam (Sabarimala Via Nizamabad) to clear extra rush of Ayyappa pilgrims of Andhra Pradesh cities and towns during the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple pilgrimage season.

1.Nizamabada-Kollam-Nizamabad Special Train Timings Via Kachiguda, Dhamavaram: Train No: 766B Nizamabad-Sabarimala special train will depart Nizamabad on 1st, 4th, 6th, 9th, 11th December, 2009, at 14 .00 hrs., and arrive Kollam at 01.45 hrs. the second day. In the return direction, Train No. 765B Kollam – Nizamabad Special train will depart Kollam on 3rd, 6th, 8th, 11th, 13th December, 2009, at 03.20 hrs. and arrive Nizamabad at 13.30 hrs. the next day.
Stops: Kamareddi, Medchal, Bolarum, Malkajgiri, Sitafalmandi, Kachiguda, Jadcherla, Mahbubnagar,Gadwal, Kurnool town, Dhone, Gooty, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Sri Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam and Hindupur on South Central Railway, in both the directions.

2.Nizamabada-Kollam-Nizamabad Special Train Timings Via Secunderebad, Vijayawada: Train No. 766E Nizamabad – Sabarimala Special train will depart Nizamabad on 3rd January, 2010 at 15.30 hrs., and arrive Kollam at 01.45 hrs. the second day. In the return direction, Train No. 765E Kollam – Nizamabad Special train will depart Kollam on 5th January, 2010 at 03.20 hrs. and arrive Nizamabad at 12.30 hrs. the next day.
Stops: Kamareddi, Medchal, Bolarum, Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Dornakal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Nidubrolu, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Kavali, Nellore, Gudur, Venkatagiri, Srikalahasti and Renigunta on South Central Railway, in both the directions.

3.Aurangabad – Kollam – Aurangabad Specials Train Via Nizamabad, Secunderebad, Vijayawada: Train No. 766C Aurangabad – Kollam Special train will depart Aurangabad on 21st December, 2009 at 05.00 hrs., and arrive Kollam at 00.15 hrs. the second day. In the return direction, Train No. 765C Kollam – Aurangabad Special train will depart Kollam on 18th December, 2009, at 02.15 hrs. and arrive Aurangabad at 20.00 hrs. the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 765D Kollam – Akola Special train will depart Kollam on 5th December, 2009, at 02.15 hrs. and arrive Akola at 20.00 hrs. the next day.

Basara Saraswathi Temple

Basara Saraswati temple is one of the two famous Saraswati temples in India,the other is in Jammu & Kashmir. Located on the banks of River Godavari. About 22o-Km distance from Hyderabad and 40kms from Nizamabad.

Basara is well connected with rail and road routs. Nearest Airport is Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. No.of APSRTC buses are avaliable from Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Nizamabad Neela Kanteshwar Temple

In Nizamabad in a place called Kanteshwar an ancient Shiva temple "Neela Kanteshwar" with beautiful architecture attracts many followers in the district. This temple was built by King Satavahana, Satakarni-2 for the Jains. The structure resembles the North Indian architecture. Rathasapthami The festival is widely celebrated in this temple.
